Harlequin Lake是個位於Maison Junction西邊靠來回1 mile步道到達的一個湖，在經過了這個步道口好幾次後終於走到這一趟。這個湖看起來是以harlequin duck命名，走到這也許有機會在湖上看到這很漂亮的鴨子。步道的兩旁都是lodgepole pine而沒什麼特別景色，到達湖邊前需要爬升一段高度但不困難。
到達湖邊後只看到常見的coot而沒有看到harlequin duck，因為湖邊佈滿pond lily，水鳥都在遠方使得肉眼的欣賞效果不好，最好攜帶望遠鏡或是長鏡頭。我對這個湖的風景並沒有期待，不過現場看起來比預期好一些。
這次終於走這步道一趟是因為公園外的森林野火使得公園內空氣品質不好，這種狀況下欣賞野生動物所受到的影響低很多。雖然湖上的貨色不怎麼樣，但跟我在中午走有關，因為這時段比較不會遇到熊，早一點或晚一點走的鳥況應該會好一點。
