Osprey Falls是三年前走到Bunsen Peak後想續攤的地方，不過因為同行友人身體不適，在到達Bunsen Peak後原路返回而沒有往Osprey Falls前進。這次到公園特地將這地方列為重點行程，雖然一個人在grizzly bear country走有較高風險，還是順利劃掉to do list裡的這一項。
到達Osprey Falls的步道以前是給車開的，現在只開放給人走或是騎mountain bike。不過Osprey Falls並不在這主要步道旁，大概在走了3 miles寬廣的步道後得走一條較窄且需要下降約700 feet的步道才能到達這瀑布。如果你一開始是騎mountain bike，必須把腳踏車停在這個交叉口，之後走這段約1.5 mile的步道。
步道起點在Swan Lake Flats，景觀跟走去Bunsen Peak類似，都有寬廣的視野以及看得到Gallatin Range的幾個山峰，六、七月走的時候路上不少地方也有野花可以欣賞。這段也可以騎mountain bike的路雖然是青山綠水的風格，但沿路沒有夠密的樹林，因此會比較曬，尤其是下午的時段，想舒服一點的話不要太晚走。

在通往Osprey Falls這段約1.5 mile的路才有較大的爬坡，但是先下後上，看完瀑布後得邊曬邊往上爬回來，是整段路最辛苦的地方。不過我之前比較擔心的是下坡，因為不清楚告示牌上的steep and narrow到底有多steep與多narrow，實際走了後覺得還ok，並沒有什麼讓我覺得很不comfortable的路段。
除了一群mountain bikers，在我走到瀑布的過程中只遇到一組人馬，不過回程時有看到較多人往瀑布走就是，其中一個兩人組還帶槍。這不是我第一次在國家公園hiking時看到有人違規帶槍，之前也在Glacier National Park的步道上遇過。用槍對抗grizzly bear的效力其實不比bear spray，印象中大概是83%這數字，而bear spray有98%。
在公園幾個我去過的backcountry瀑布裡，Osprey Falls算是較有看頭的幾個，氣勢與水勢相當不錯，在炎炎夏日下讓人想在這瀑布旁多逗留一些時間。因為瀑布旁有不少蟲飛來飛去，我並沒有花太多時間在這瀑布，大概待了十分鐘左右就離開了。
整趟來回9+ miles雖然有相當的長度，但大部分的路段是平的，比想像中好走，而我整趟來回只花不到四小時。
