3-1. South Entrance to Canyon Junction
基於到公園的遊客過多且Zion Canyon沒有足夠的空間容納這麼多的車輛，公園不但從入口處的Visitor Center提供免費公車讓遊客可以到達Zion Canyon的主要景點，甚至可以從公園外的Springdale坐公車到公園。不過從公園入口到Canyon Junction這一段還是可以自己開車看風景，只有Canyon Junction之後的路段在旺季才得強制坐公車到達。
A. The Watchman
若你是從公園位於Springdale的入口進入公園，第一個讓你最有印象的就是The Watchman這塊巨石了，而這塊巨石也是錫安國家公園裡有名的幾塊巨石之一。因為它就看守在公園的南入口，因此叫做The Watchman。
The Watchman從公園外的Springdale一直到Canyon Junction的整路、營區、遊客中心以及Pa'rus Trail都可以清楚看到，是個很醒目的地標。這塊巨石在不同地方看起來的形狀會有點不同，在早上或下午都適合觀賞。

B. Zion Human History Museum
如果你從Visitor Center搭公車，Zion Human History Museum是第一個停靠站。裡面除了有各種展示以及放映廳，也有提供廁所以及飲用水，有些ranger's programs也在這舉行。某種程度上，這個museum也扮演Visitor Center的功能。
這museum的所在相當風光明媚，但最有名的景色其實在後門，也就是Towers of the Virgin，如Figure 3-1.8所示。Towers of the Virgin最左手邊那一大塊是West Temple，也是公園最有名的地標之一，不少公園內的地方甚至公園外都看得到；此外，最右手邊的是Altar of Sacrifice(祭壇)，得名自鮮紅色的條紋。
這角度在早上順光，因此通常較適合在早上觀賞。不過如果你是搭公園的公車，早上在這一站下車有個風險，就是有可能搭不上之後到來的公車，因為這時候的公車通常都很滿而且很少人在這一站下車。

地質學家Clarence Dutton在1880年所寫的地質探勘報告對Towers of the Virgin有以下的描述：
“In an instant there flashed before us a scene never to be forgotten. In coming time it will, I believe, take rank with a very small number of spectacles each of which will, in its own way, be regarded as the most exquisite of its kind which the world discloses. The scene before us was the Temples and Towers of the Virgin.”
照理說Clarence Dutton在地質探勘過程中應該已經看過不少美景，但他顯然對這一排岩石有相當高的評價。即使如此，據信Clarence Dutton並不是在現今museum附近、而是在遠方看到這個景色。實際上，包括在Zion-Mount Carmel Highway以及Canyon Overlook都看得到這一排岩石。

C. Canyon Junction
Canyon Junction位在Zion Canyon與Zion-Mount Carmel Highway的交叉口，也是公園公車會停下來讓遊客看風景的地點之一。
這個地方最醒目的岩石就是The Streaked Wall以及The Sentinel這兩塊巨石，由於直接在交叉口上方，因此視覺上的震撼力不小。這兩塊岩石面向東方，因此照相也是適合早上。
實際上這地方被各種巨石所圍繞，比如往南也可以看到公園入口的The Watchman，而往Zion-Mount Carmel Highway的方向可以看到East Temple(其實在Zion Human History Museum也看得到)。如果你往Zion Canyon的深處看過去，還有Mountain of the Sun、Twin Brothers與Mount Spry。

從公園的入口到Canyon Junction這一段路大概只有2 miles，但峽谷的兩側風光已經算是相當精采。不過大部分人會搭乘公園的公車，因此無法盡情享受沿途的風景；這段路雖然可以自己開車，但不見得隨時找得到停車位。
如果你想好好享受這段路的風景，Pa'rus Trail這步道可能是最好的方式，可以用自己的步調邊走邊欣賞，甚至可以騎腳踏車。有時間的話，我是很推薦走一下這步道，在太陽角度不要太高的時段下效果會相當好。
