除了黃石公園外,Custer State Park是最容易看到(大群)bison的地方之一,連這公園入口的牌子都劃上這動物。Wildlife Loop Road是最容易看到這動物的一條路,從一頭開到另一頭應該很難沒看到。不僅如此,通常很容易就在路邊看到一大群。大致上,在黃石公園可以經歷的情景也可以在這經歷到。
如果你是春天到的話,會看到很多毛是橘色的小bison,稱為calf。因為這個顏色,小bison也被稱為red dog。當然,要看到這顏色的小bison不是非得到這,只要能看到bison的地方看到的都一樣。雖然大隻的bison大都不怕人,但小隻的常常畏畏縮縮,有時還會逃走。正常情況下,他媽都在不遠處以便保護。
我對黃石公園那區的小bison印象是年紀小小的臉常常很臭,不曉得在不爽什麼。這邊以及隔壁Wind Cave National Park的小bison比較沒有給我這感覺,但比較畏懼,也許是因為五月底看到的關係,再晚一個月就不畏懼且臉變臭也說不定。

雖然在這公園路上看了很多bison,不過並沒有看到什麼特別的或是drama,就挑幾張擺上。
